Parents Association

Kiltallagh National School has a very active and enthusiastic Parents Association.

The Parents Association is an invaluable part of the school community and is vital in ensuring, through its wonderful annual fundraising, that we can continue to offer the very best educational experiences and resources to the children in our care.

The following are some of the activities in which the Parents Association are involved in:

Planning our annual Cookery Demonstration fundraiser
Organisation of costumes/refreshments for our annual Christmas Performance
Planning Parent Information Evenings
Providing support/organisational input into our Open Day/ End of Year Service

School will be open to receive pupils at 9.00 A.M.

School commences at : 9:05 A.M.
Sos / Small Break: 11.00 – 11.10 A.M.
Lón / Lunch Break: 01.15 – 01.45 PM
Home time for Infant Classes : 1:45 P.M.
Home time for 1st to 6th Classes : 2:45 P.M.

Mid-Term: School will close on Friday October 25th 2024 and will re-open on Monday November 4^th 2024
Primary Maths Curriculum Training: Monday December 2nd 2024

Christmas 2024: School will close on Friday December 20th 2024 and will re-open on Monday January 6th 2025

February Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday February 3rd 2025

Mid-Term: School will be closed on Thursday February 20th and Friday February 21st 2025

St Patrick’s Day: School will be closed on Monday March 17th 2025

Easter 2024: School will close on Friday April 11th 2025 and will re-open on Monday April 28th 2025

May Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday May 5th 2025

June Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday June 2nd 2025

Summer Holidays: School will close at 12 noon on Friday June 20th 2025

School Policies

Kiltallagh NS maintains an extensive range of policies to support the running of the school.

School Books:

As outlined in the budget of September 2022, free school books will be provided for primary school pupils within the free education system.

School books, work books and a selection of copy books will be acquired by the school under the Free School Books Scheme and were distributed to the students prior to their summer recess.
