Parents Association

Kiltallagh National School has a very active and enthusiastic Parents Association.

They are an invaluable part of the school community and are vital in ensuring through their wonderful annual fundraising, that we can continue to offer the very best educational experiences and resources to the children in our care.

The following are some of the activities in which the Parents Association are involved:

Our annual Parish Sale of Work fundraiser
Organisation of costumes/refreshments for our annual Christmas Performance
Plan Parent Information Evenings
Providing support/organisational input into our End of Year Service/Open Day

School Starts: 9:10 AM
Sos / Small Break: 10.50 – 11.00 AM
Lón / Lunch Break: 12.50 – 1.20 PM
Home time for Infant Classes : 1:50 PM
Home time for 1st to 6th Classes : 2:50 PM

Autumn Term 2023

School re-opens on Monday September 4th 2023

October Mid Term:

Mid-Term: School will close from Monday October 30th 2023 to Friday November 3rd 2023 inclusive

Winter / Spring Term 2023/2024

Christmas 2023: School will close on Friday December 22nd 2023 and will re-open on Monday January 8th 2024

February Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday February 5th 2024

St Patrick’s Day: School will be closed on Monday March 18th 2024

Mid-Term: School will be closed on Thursday February 15th and Friday February 16th 2024

Easter 2024: School will close on Friday March 22nd 2024 and will re-open on Monday April 8th 2024

Summer Term 2024

May Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday May 6th 2024

June Bank Holiday: School will be closed on Monday June 3rd 2024

Summer Holidays: School will close on Wednesday June 26th 2024

School Policies

Kiltallagh NS maintains an extensive range of policies to support the running of the school.

School Books:

As outlined in the the recent budget of September 27th 2022, free school books will be provided for primary school pupils, within the free education system (from September 2023).

All school books,work books and a selection of copy books were acquired by the school under the Free School Books Scheme and distributed to the students at the commencement of the new school year on Monday September 4th 2023.
